Sana'a City


Sana'a is the political and official capital of Yemen, one of Yemen's oldest inhabited cities, and the lessons refer to its existence in the 5th century BC, located specifically on a mountain range called Sarawat, about 2,300 meters above sea level, and a astronomy between the latitudes of twenty-one and fifteen to the north of the equator, and between the lines of twelve and forty-four to the east of the Greenwich line.


Sana'a is surrounded by mountains on all sides, from the eastern side is Mount Noum and from the west extends Jabal Ayban, while the south includes Abel Ya'asal, and from the north is an area called Shabam al-Firas, which is linked to a range of road routes linking it to other cities, such as Hadramaut, Marib, Dhamar, Aden and others.


Name

Some legends say that it is named after the son of Our Lord Noah , known as Sam, and others refer to the name of a city removed by this name relative to his grandson, but it is a fact or according to healthier scientific studies, taken from the formula "made" derived from the word manufactured, which means in the seventh language: the fort, based on the existence of the first text referring to it, and dates back to the fifth century BC specifically.


Climate

Its climate is mild during the summer and cold during winter, with a summer temperature of 12 degrees, but may rise by day and exceed 30 degrees Celsius, while winter has a temperature of approximately 22°C, with a minimum temperature of 2 degrees, and sometimes up to six degrees below zero.

Urban Sprawl

There are a range of factors that control the urban expansion of the city, most notably the factors and the economic situation, so that the expansion in the northern and southern sides is large, but in the east and west it is less severe, knowing that low-income people prefer to live in places far from the capital, as a result of low land prices or even rental costs, and the high income earners live in the southern parts of it such as the Al-Asbahi area.
