Aden is the economic and commercial capital of the Republic of Yemen, located on the coast of the Gulf of Aden, above the crater of a volcano dormant for millions of years, and about 363 kilometers away from Sana'a, 160 kilometers from Bab al-Mandab, a natural port on the Indian Ocean and The Arabian Lake, in addition to its control of the Red Sea road, aden means in linguistic dictionaries: residence or sea coast, but for historical sources it is relative to Aden bin Adnan as mentioned by historians.
Aden has a population of 865,000 according to the 2015 census, and according to the results of the 2004 census, Aden had a population of 589,419, accounting for 3% of Yemen's total population, and the population is growing at a rate of 3.77% annually.
Aden's climate is hot most days of the year, with the average summer temperature between (27.5-36.2°C) and (23.3°C - 28.8°C) in winter, humidity between (62% - 73%), and rainfall slightly counting, with an estimated average overall rainfall of 50 mm.
Registered as an important area for the World Bird Organization, it is a haven for several endangered birds such as major coughing punishment, norse, and oriental royal punishment, rich in migratory and endemic birds throughout the year, such as large flamingos, dwarf flamingos, hooked carcinogens and seagulls.
