MyKit is a personal toolkit app for Android, made by an independent developer (md-taha-ahmed). This policy explains what data MyKit uses, where the data goes, and the choices you have.
What you enter in MyKit stays on your device, in the app's private storage. This includes:
Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes all of it.
If you choose to sign in with Google, MyKit asks for these permissions. It asks for each one only when you turn on the feature that needs it:
| Permission (scope) | What MyKit does with it |
|---|---|
Google Drive, app data folder onlydrive.appdata |
It saves your MyKit backup file to a hidden folder that only MyKit can access, and lists, restores and deletes those backups when you ask. MyKit cannot see or change any other files in your Drive. |
YouTube, read-onlyyoutube.readonly |
It reads the list of channels you subscribe to, so you can add them to your feeds. It does not post, comment, subscribe or change anything on your account. |
Google Taskstasks |
It reads your task lists and tasks so they show up in MyKit's to-do. It also creates, edits, completes and deletes tasks and lists, but only when you do so in MyKit, to keep both sides in sync. |
Some features use Google's Gemini API with an API key that you add in the app. These are:
When you use one of these features, the text or photo it needs is sent from your phone straight to Google's Gemini API under your own key, and Google's Gemini API terms apply. Nothing is sent unless you use the feature.
To show content you ask for, MyKit downloads it directly from public sources. These are:
Those sites see an ordinary request from your phone. Nothing about you is sent to them.
MyKit is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
